AI Schematic Symbol Generator

A symbol generator is only useful if the pins are right. PartSpark builds schematic symbols from the manufacturer pin table itself: each pin gets its datasheet name, an electrical type for ERC, and a side that follows convention (power up, ground down, inputs left, outputs right). The matching footprint is generated in the same pass, so the symbol you place already knows which pad every pin lands on.

  • Pin names, numbers, and electrical types taken from the datasheet pin table
  • Readable pin placement, including multi-hundred-pin MCUs and FPGAs
  • Footprint generated alongside and linked pin-to-pad
  • Native KiCad .kicad_sym, plus Altium, EAGLE, and Allegro bundles

FAQ

Common questions

What does the symbol generator need as input?
A manufacturer part number is enough for most parts; the AI locates and reads the datasheet. For unusual, obsolete, or pre-release parts, upload the PDF or a photo of the pin table and it works from that instead.
How are pins arranged on the generated symbol?
Power pins go to the top, ground to the bottom, inputs to the left, and outputs and bidirectional pins to the right, grouped by function where the datasheet makes that clear. If you want a different arrangement, describe it in the refine box and the symbol is revised with the same pin data.
Is the schematic symbol generator free?
Yes. A free account includes daily and monthly generation allowances. Paid ProtoFlow plans raise the limits and add premium models and 3D generation.
