KiCad Symbol & Footprint Generator

Stop hand-drawing library parts in the KiCad symbol editor. PartSpark reads the component’s real datasheet with AI and produces a matched .kicad_sym symbol and .kicad_mod footprint — plus a STEP model for the 3D viewer — that import straight into KiCad 6, 7, 8, and 9 libraries.

  • Native .kicad_sym and .kicad_mod files — no converters or plugins
  • IPC-7351B footprint naming and land-pattern dimensions
  • Pin-linked symbol and footprint, with the full pin map shown for review
  • 3D STEP/WRL model for the KiCad 3D viewer (paid plans)

FAQ

Common questions

Which KiCad versions do the files work with?
The generator emits the modern s-expression formats (.kicad_sym and .kicad_mod) used by KiCad 6 and later, including KiCad 7, 8, and 9.
How do I import the generated part into KiCad?
Add the .kicad_sym file to your symbol library table (Preferences → Manage Symbol Libraries) and the .kicad_mod file to a footprint library folder (a .pretty directory). The symbol’s footprint field is pre-linked, so placing it in Eeschema pulls the right footprint into the PCB editor.
Does it generate 3D models KiCad can show?
Yes — paid plans generate STEP and WRL models. Drop the file next to your footprint library and reference it in the footprint’s 3D settings to see the part in the KiCad 3D viewer.
